Karen Mills

Karen Mills currently teaches Literary Thinking courses in the middle school. She is an original employee of Eastside Prep, having been hired by the pioneering founders of the school in January 2003 after completing her masters degree in Library and Information Science. She served initially as the main administrative support for the Head of School and Board of Trustees, assumed the role of Director of Admissions for a single school year (2005-2006), and acted as the school’s librarian for several years before transferring her literary interests into the English classroom. When not at school, Karen spends time reading, wrangling her two daughters and their dog, running, and finding sun as often as possible.

“My favorite part about working at Eastside Prep is the people. The teachers, staff, and administrators are energetic, mindful, dedicated, fun-loving and intellectually engaging. The students are curious, bright, diverse and involved.”
